Between 10am and 11.45am on September 26th, one of the best venues in the bustling Vale of Glamorgan market town will host a Macmillan Coffee Morning.
Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event asks people across the UK to hold a coffee morning to raise money for people living with cancer. In 2013, 154,000 people signed up, raising a record 20 million pounds.
Oscar’s have assured us that a wonderful selection of cakes will be on offer, sponsored by local supplier Patisserie Zucchero, which look like the perfect complement to our brew. Our co-founder Craig will be attending too, if you fancy a chat about the coffee.
That’s him over there.
But if the exquisite coffee, delicious cake and handsome Mr Jackson somehow aren’t inviting enough, take a moment to think about the cause.
Macmillan Cancer Support helps improve the lives of people affected by cancer. One in three of us will get cancer, there are currently two million people living with cancer in the UK and by 2030 this will double.
Facing the toughest fight of your life, you need a team of inspiring people in your corner. That’s where Macmillan Cancer Support comes in. They provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support, while pushing for a better cancer care system.
So you should come along to Oscars on Friday. Experience the warm glow of feeling you’ve done something good for an incredible charity at one of the region’s best venues, and savour the incredible coffee and cake.
