‘Shots of the dark’ is our new Facebook page series of espresso-sized posts, designed to show off our Coffee knowledge.
Like an espresso, they won’t keep you long, and will leave you enriched by our morsels of coffee expertise.
The first one went like this:
Filter coffee beans, like those from El Salvador and Colombia, can have very different levels of hardness. Some are as hard as diamonds while others are almost soft to the touch.
This range of hardness affects the time needed to roast beans and the different roasting temperatures needed to achieve an optimum roast.
Upcoming shorts will concern our Pier Mix blend, the perfect Irish Coffee for St Patrick’s Day, and the ideal roasting points.
Pop over to our Facebook page and give us a like to make sure you don’t miss a shot.
